I'm new to the area, and was trying to find dinner one night. We decided to eat at El Jaripeo but were very uneasy at first. The location of the restaurant and the building were very old so we weren't sure what to expect. But when we walked inside it was very nice and clean. The pictures that have been posted from others were not accurate at all. It was super packed, but we were able to be seated right away. Chips and salsa were good, and our waiter was super nice. Food was also delicious!!! However, the wait time was a bit longer than expected, but it was also a Friday night and they were packed. We will be returning in the future!! Don't ever judge a book by its cover.
We love El Jaripeo!!! We started eating at their Westfield location over 25 years ago. It closed and we never figured to go to Lebanon. The best dish is "Pollo Supremo"!!!! We have been 2x this week remembering old times! Thank you!!!
Food is always good, house margaritas hit the spot. It is our go to for Mexican cuisine.
Mmmmm raspberry margaritas with patron. I don't care if the food is great (which at this place it's is lol) tonight I'm focusing on not remembering my name. You can't beat a good margaritas and this place never seems to fall short
Good Mexican Food and happy atmosphere. Portions are generous and anything that I have eaten has been delicious.
This review is for take out only. I have never actually sat in the restaurant and had a meal (okay, maybe once, but it was years ago). This is pretty decent Midwest Mexican food. Nothing more. I have worked in Lebanon for the past five years, and have ordered take out from this place probably 20 times. It is consistent, pretty good and the people I've always dealt with have been nothing but nice. The food is not going to blow you away. I usually get a lunch special that consists of a taco, chile relleno and rice and beans. It's good, but not great. The best part is that if you catch the right lunch special, you can eat a decent Mexican lunch for $6, including a 33% tip for a to go order. Seriously, $4.50 for the food, including chips and salsa to go, and a couple bucks for a tip. The food is a solid three stars, the price makes it four.
